This is my first serious Gaming mouse, so I can't really compare it to anything else. All I can say is I'm blown away! It's imposing, beautifully completes the mouse pad (in my case, the eXactMat). It's ergonomic, comfortably fills my grip with a very nice smooth finish. It glides as if the mouse pad were ice, although I have tried it on the Destructor and it slides even more smoothly! I would definitely recommend this mouse for any type of player as well as for serious Photoshop or any other graphical users. I just got the new Imperator from Razer, and I must say I'm verry happy with it. it's definitely an improvement if you are used to a Deathadder. The mouse is really ergonomic and has no real hard materials on it. It's also slightly smaller than the Deathadder which I like a lot. Razer is doing good things lately =) | 3. I previously had a Logitech Gaming mouse and decided to try a Razer one. After 30mins i was totally used to this mouse and it is amazing! Beats ALL Logitech mouses! Great Mouse Razer! :) | 5. Lazarus on 12/25/09 said:
For years I had been waiting for Razer to build a mouse like this. I lift my mouse a lot while gaming, and 99% of the time I'm a sniper in game. Therefore I need a light weight mouse with the proper left and right side contours so I can lift the mouse and make constant adjustments quickly and effortlessly. In addition, I settle for nothing less than perfect tracking, and this mouse delivers 100%. The adjustable thumb buttons are incredible and add even more to the overall feel of the mouse. I like how Razer also made the feet larger to prevent the mouse from leaning to the left or right when uneven force is applied. This is the best mouse I've ever used, and I hope Razer continues to build on this godly design. One last note. I have the Goliathus Control Edition and the Megasoma. This mouse works flawlessly on both surfaces. However, I do prefer the Megasoma for precision targeting. | 6. Nicolas on 12/22/09 said:
This mouse rocks! i got it to improve my fps skill as well as efficiency in WoW and it did both and more. It's so comfortable to use and just fits your hand perfectly. my only dilemma is that I'm not sure which grip style i like better, both palm and fingertip are really comfortable. definately a must buy even for a first gaming mouse. | 7. I receive this mouse on the 21st December 2009 after waiting for 5 days. This is simply the best mouse i've ever owned! It works perfectly on my Goliathus Fragged Edition. Despite gaming for more than 8 hours a day, my right hand do not feel strained or uncomfortable. Im from Malaysia and I believe I am the first one to own the Razer Imperator in this country, and im very proud of that!
Thank you Razer for releasing such a excellent product for gamers.

Before purchasing the Razer Imperator i spent hours comparing all the Razer products, Two of my friends have Razer Mouses one has the Diamondback 3G and one has the Deathadder. Originally i was choosing between these two and the Mamba, but then the Razer Imperator came out and it was then obvious which was the best. The Razer is everything the Mamba is (except for the wireless part & high price tag) and more, the adjustable side buttons are great, i've never used macro's before but i now use them all the time! This is easily the best Razer mouse on the market at time of writing (22/12/2009) and highly recommend this product to all gamers and people who spend a lot of time on their computers. (ITS SO COMFORTABLE TO USE!!!) I hope this review has helped you choose your mouse (i know it would've helped me!). Oh and anyone who says that Razer mouses are bs and their just shiny rip- offs obviously haven't used the Razer Imperator (or any other razer mouse!)
Huntsman (CS:S, TF2, COD 6 & L4D2) After weeks of bitching & whining to She Who Must Be Obeyed to let me buy the new Razer Imperator, it finally arrived today. Ignoring the screaming, hungry kids at my feet, I eagerly unpacked my Imperator and I was not disappointed. I have always had loads of trouble finding a mouse that was comfortable in my hand. In this regard I am my own worst enemy as I have very small hands and an awkward grip-style. I like to place the heel of my hand (ie that small bulging bone on the outside of the hand where it meets the wrist) on the mouse mat behind the mouse. This means that my palm is sitting flat against the butt of the mouse leaving me with a very short finger reach. The nearest Razer mouse I have found to being comfortable is the Lachesis – until now! The Imperator feels like it was made-to-order. For comparison the Imperator is very similar in size and shape to the old Logitech MX510, or the CyberSnipa Stinger – although much sleeker. For someone like me the adjustable side buttons are a Godsend! Finally I’m able to harness the full potential of my mouse after years of not being able to reach all the buttons. For all those gamers with small hands, particularly girl-gamers, I recommend you give the Imperator a try. The mouse is light, smooth, and accurate straight out of the box. Simply plug it in, download and run the software, and you’re good to go. I spent 4+ hours this afternoon wreaking absolute havoc and kicking ass across multiple DFX2 servers. If this mouse can do that for my game, imagine what it could do for someone with an ounce of talent or ability!! | 10. M1SHR4 on 12/8/09 said:
Easily the most comfortable and accurate ergo mouse Ive ever used! (Beats MX and G series!)
- FAQs
Q: What is Drift Control and how does it affect accuracy?
A: Drift control is a common prediction mechanism in mouse sensors that is designed to assist users in drawing straight lines vertically/horizontally in graphical and work applications. Such sensors predict when a straight line is being drawn and corrects any movement that deviates from that straight line, rather than follow the user’s exact movements. This means a downward swipe of 5 degrees can be corrected into a completely horizontal line, causing a gamer to miss his target.

For absolute freedom of movement, the Razer Imperator is engineered with no drift control - giving gamers the ability to translate their exact mouse movements into in game frags without interference from prediction mechanisms that results in accuracy loss.
Q: How do I position the adjustable side buttons?
A: For maximum reach of the side buttons to suit various palm size and grip styles, the adjustable side buttons can be positioned by:
(1) Pressing and holding down the side button selector switch at the bottom of your Razer Imperator.

(2) Move the side button selector switch along the slider to adjust the position of the side buttons.

(3) Release the side button selector switch to lock the side buttons at the new position.
