I previously had the razer sphex, and acquired the megasoma just recently and I must say this pad is excellent. It did take some getting used to going from the slick smooth surface of the sphex to the fine grit of the megasoma, but this pad has significantly improved my imperator's tracking and precision. As an avid sniper I highly recommend this pad to anyone wishing to improve their fps gaming experience. The size is perfect. The balance between grip and slip is perfect. Fraggers and commanders alike your pad has arrived.

I'm been using this pad for about a month now and it's turning out to be the best pad I've ever tried. I had a Destructor that destroyed my DA mouse feet 4 times and now has worn down spots that stick to your mouse feet when the pad heats up as you play. This seems to be a problem with all hard pads.

So when I needed to replace the Destructor I wanted to try a softer pad but I don't like cloth" pads because I use a fairly high sensitivity. I saw this hybrid Silicon pad and thoguht I just had to give it a shot and I am glad I did. I'm really impressed with it so far but it's only been a month I'll try to give another review after a couple months of heavy use. I should almost mention the lift off distance on my 1800DPI DA is one CD which is awesome. However the lift off on the Abyssus was 5 CDs which is much higher and something they need to address with their new sensor. .

The only issue is this pad leaves little specs of white on the bottom of your mouse since I'm wearing down the grit just like on my old hard pad. The Good news is the worn out area doesn't stick when it heats up. Eureka!! You will just need to wipe the specs off once in a while but it doesn't seem to affect the pads performance.

Current score after 1 months is 4.5 out of 5.

This is the first gaming mat I have ever bought I didn't think it would make a difference but I do notice my mouse is more responsive. However I gave the pad a 4 out of 5 reason is because it doesn't have the cool green Razer splash printed onto it like in the picture above. If they put a graphic on this thing like that it would look tight. Plain white is kinda boring.

great tracking great control but yet letting you effortlessly move the mouse around the mat almost no friction on the mat to overcome when moving the mouse from stationary really ez to clean (unlike the distructor although the distructor is still amazing) the only things about this mat leaving me a tad disappointed are 1 it doesnt come in black or the gunmetal colour that the distructor is and 2 i wish it didnt have the glow in the dark razer emblem or atleast i wish they did it a diferent way

I must admit i was skeptical of the Razer Magasoma at first. I've never enjoyed hard or plastic mouse pads so i've stuck with fabric. This is because i found most far to slippery. I like my mouse at a high sensitivity but i found i lost control with a smoother mat. I would move the mouse over a relitively long distance and overshoot because i could not rely on the pad to assist in slowing the mouse movement.
I was in the market and i heard the Magasoma overcame many of the issues i had with non-fabric pads. After some further reading i decided to take the plunge. I'm ecstatic i did.
The first thing i should note is the size. Its huge so make sure you have thirteen inches (width) of room on your desk. Its only about 8 inches deep. The size although cumbersome provides ample room for mouse movement and is very welcome if the size can be accommodated. The feel is as close to perfect as i've ever tried. its rough almost like a fine-grit sandpaper but still soft. It grips my Mamba perfectly allowing for control and comfort without fatigue in the wrist. Be warned it took a while for the pad to be "broken in". It felt very rough at first but after a few days of use i managed to smooth out an area where my mouse is most comfortable. This is actually beneficial as i found less resistance for fingertip movement allowing more precise actions with less fatigue. As you move further away from the "neutral spot" the pad get rougher. Because of this i feel more controlled with larger sweeping motions and am less likely to over or undershoot my target specifically when turning 180 degrees.
Another nice feature although found on the product page is the thickness. Being only 2mm i am completely comfortable resting my wrist on the edge of the mat which was of huge importance to me. Most mats are 4mm and i find they dig into my wrist. I just wish Razer made a *thin* matching wrist-wrest.
Finally i must mention the glow. It shouldn't be even included not because the idea isn't sound but because the execution is flawed. When it does glow it is dim. It is brighter when exposed to direct sunlight but for the most part that doesn't happen naturally. The glow doesn't last too long but that's to be expected. I would rather have a black pad with a green logo or a white pad with a black one rather than the luminescent one. Although this is purely aesthetic it does not match my other Razer products nor anything on my desk really.
If you're looking for the ultimate mouse pad and aren't concerned about the aesthetics of this one i highly encourage you to buy it!

it made my mamba fell great

Ever since I got this mat my mamba has been more responsive. It's a nice smooth surface but still hard enough to make the sensor work perfectly. I honestly don't see anything wrong with this pad. The only thing I do see that could be worked on is the glow. It should last longer. But this is still one of the best pad's I've used.
