I just got this mat for x-mas and I couldn't be happier. I play mainly RTS and RPG games on my PC so I don't really use the speed side, but the control side is excellent. It gives me the exact amount of precision I want without sacrificing too much speed. The detachable memory foam wrist rest is also a great plus for long gaming sessions. I imagine a FPS player might not use it as much since greater movement of the wrist is usually required but for long RPG sessions it makes your experience much more comfortable. The sturdy design is another plus and I think this mat will last me for years. The only con might, just might be the large size, and that only if you have limited space on your desk. Other than that I love the size, especially with the control side since I move my mouse across the entire screen in one movement. OVERALL Great mat, no complaints and I deff recommend it. If you have 30$, it is worth it, with the quality and performance improvement immediately apparent

Had this mouse pad for almost over 2 years now. No complaints what-so-ever. If you want a mouse pad that can survive through some fights look no further. Taken this to so many LAN parties and moved several times with this thing and ALWAYS took it with me, can't play without it.

the size is just enough, a very nice design and the wrist rest rocks ( i use it with my keyboard rather)
when using it you never feel it's made of aluminium. It offers smooth movement of the mouse and deadly precision.

It is so great i did not imagine that the mouse pad could make that diff. i have the MAMBA and when i remove the pad feel a very big diff. when i bought the MAMBA i was not going to buy any pad but my friend told me that the pad is so useful so i bought this and thankes god i bought it it is so helpful
but i rate it 4 bec. i did not like the rest it is hard and when i use it i feel my hand and make me unable to hold the mouse correctly

I've had the eXactMat for about 2 years now and I have to tell you the truth, it is worth every penny. The value for money that mouse 2 sided extremely TOUGH mouse pad delivers cannot be stressed enough. Optical or Laser, this mouse pad truly brings out the drawbacks of 500Hz polling mouse versus a 1000Hz polling in online FPS games (L4D,WaW,KF). You truly get an UNFAIR ADVANTAGE with this mouse pad.

Pros:
- 2 sided, added longevity
- extremely tough
- does not move at all
- lasted 2 years and still going
- UNFAIR ADVANTAGE, giving you the steadiest aiming to get the most FRAGS

Cons:
- Speed side wears off faster then the Control
- Dirt Magnet
- Might be a little big for some PC setups
- 30 bucks (hence not free with purchase of RAZER™ mouse :D)
- Other people in online FPS games will anger" you with their aiming ability compared to yours

My brother bought this mat some time ago and he's very happy with it. You probably know all the advantages people have mentioned below so i'll only point out the flaws:

- rubber feet can go off easily (but its not hard to glue them back on)
- the control side doesn't give enough friction imho on some mice the control side is slicker than the speed side!
- because of metal used it can get really cold and hurt your wrists it's good to have a warm room or heat it with your palm before you lay your hand down on it.

otherwise its a really great gaming pad!

The best thing ever in a mousemat is that its solid. I can place it anywhere on my pillow lap couch or anywhere and still works.

The first downside is that it's very cold i keep my room cool because when i play 2 games at the same time my computer heats up the room by itself but if you go to get something to eat and come back the mousemat will freeze your wrist.

Another thing is that the rough surface wears off by time it starts shining a grid pattern.
It also gets scratched pretty easily if someting gets under your mouse.
If something soft crap gets under your mouse it will stick to the mousemat and is really hard to get off.

I got this like 2 years ago for christmas so i quess its time to buy a new one(razer destructor) anyway.
But sinced i got this i never even thought about buying a new one (untill i found out about destructor of course).

ps. but after that 2 years it's still in a good shape enough to be used by someone else(i'll see if my brothers want it)
ps2. my old soft mousemat is a mat for my mug.
