Adjustable Resistance Analog Sticks
The resistance on both analog sticks of the Razer Onza TE is freely adjustable enabling you to fine-tune the force needed to tilt the analog stick, giving you the right resistance to achieve the optimal precision in any genre. Whether you want a high resistance for a racing game or minimal resistance for precise aiming in an FPS game, the adjustable resistance of each analog stick gives you the edge in every game you play.
Two Additional Fully Programmable Buttons
Two extra buttons positioned above the trigger buttons on both shoulders of the Razer Onza TE put the commands you deem most important at your fingertips. Backlit Hyperesponse Action Buttons
The legendary Razer Hyperesponse technology allows you to actuate buttons faster to fire shots and initiate combos instantaneously, while reassuring you with a crisp tactile feedback. FAQs

Before using the Razer Onza, please make sure your Xbox 360 is updated to the latest system software.

Q: How does the adjustable resistance on the analog sticks work?
A: There is a ring located just below the top of each analog sticks that can be turned left or right. When turning the ring to the right, the force needed to tilt the analog stick increases and when turning the ring to the left, the force needed to tilt it decreases. When turning, the ring will make a click sound to indicate the amount of resistance changed.

Q: Does the adjustable resistance change the sensitivity of the analog sticks?
A: No, it changes the physical force needed to tilt the analog sticks. The actual movement distance remains the same; it will only be easier or harder to control exact movements.

Q: How do the Multi-Function Buttons (MFB) work?
A: Each MFB has a corresponding Remap Button on the bottom of the controller. Holding the remap button down activates an LED showing which button is currently configured to the corresponding MFB. To assign a button hold down the remap button and press the desired button. The LED will switch to show that the desired button is configured. Left MFB can be configured to: A,B,X,Y, left bumper, left trigger, left analog stick button, back and start. Right MFB can be configured to: A,B,X,Y, right bumper, right trigger, right analog stick button, back and start.

Q: Does the Razer Onza feature a rapid fire function or support macros?
A: No, the Razer Onza does not feature rapid fire or any way to program a macro to a button. Rapid fire is for n00bs!

Q: When I bind a button to the MFB, does the normal button stop working?
A: No, the standard button you bind to the MFB will keep working normally. Additionally the MFB provides a mirrored button at an alternative location for added comfort and convenience.

Q: How can I tell which button is configured to the MFB and will it remember after I turn my Xbox off?
A: Simply press and hold the corresponding remap button on the bottom of the controller. The LED will indicate which button is mapped to the MFB. The setting is saved on the controller so once you turn your system on the Razer Onza will remember your last MFB setting.

Q: How can I avoid hitting the MBF instead of the bumper?
A: Most gamers get used to the additional button on each shoulder of the Razer Onza after a few hours of play. If you want to make the adjustment easier, a simple tip would be to configure the MFB to be an extra bumper button. This way it doesn’t matter if you hit the bumper or MFB as both have the same functionality.

Q: Is it possible to turn off the MFB?
A: There will always be a button configured to the MFB. The default setting is the bumper button, which is almost like turning the MFB off.

Q: How are Hyperesponse buttons different from standard buttons?
A: The Razer Hyperesponse buttons on the Razer Onza use a mechanical switch instead of a standard membrane switch. This mechanical switch is also used on our PC gaming mice. It has a much shorter travel distance and allows the gamer to press it at a faster rate. Additionally there is an audible as well as tactile “click” feedback when the button is actuated. To sum it up: they are a lot more L33T.

Q: What material is used on the surface of the Razer Onza?
A: The Razer Onza Tournament Edition has a non-slip rubber coating found on our PC gaming mice for optimal grip even if your hands should get sweaty. The Razer Onza has a textured surface finish, if you want to keep it old school pwning the competition.

Q: What parts of the Razer Onza light up?
A: The Razer Onza features lighting on the Xbox Guide button and the MFB configurator on the back of the controller when settings are selected. The Razer Onza Tournament Edition has additional lighting on the Hyperesponse action buttons A,B,X,Y.

Q: Is the Razer Onza wireless?
A: The Razer Onza uses a 15 foot / 4.5 meter braided USB cable to connect to the Xbox 360. Long enough even for living rooms the size of airplane hangars. You can also connect the USB cable to your PC.

Q: Is there a mechanism for the cable to disconnect in case someone trips over it?
A: Should you have a sudden spasm or other signs of Razer Onza deprivation and accidentally yank the Onzas chain, a quick release connector is in place to prevent your Xbox from going down with you, because that would just be tragic.

Q: Can I use my Razer Onza on the PC?
A: Absolutely, your Razer Onza is fully PC compatible without the need for any drivers. We haven’t forgotten all the PC gamers who desparately need a phenomenal controller to step up their game.

Q: With what systems is the Razer Onza compatible?
A: The Razer Onza works like a charm on the the Xbox 360 and your PC.

Q: Does the Razer Onza have an official license from Microsoft?
A: Yes, the Razer Onza controllers are licensed Razer products that have been developed under the taxing looks of Microsoft and passed their requirements with flying colors.

Q: Will there be a version for the PS3?
A: That’s a question for your Magic 8 Ball.

Q: Will there be a wireless version?
A: Again, kindly ask your Magic 8 Ball for the answer.

Q: Does the Razer Onza support microphones that connect to the controller?
A: The Razer Onza has a standard 2.5mm microphone jack to which any microphone using this jack can connect. Of course the best choice is the new Razer Chimaera 5.1 Wireless Headset for Xbox 360.

Q: Does the Razer Onza feature force feedback?
A: You bet!

Q: Will the Microsoft Chat Pad work with the Razer Onza?
A: The ergonomic form of the Razer Onza does not fit the chat pad. Microphones with standard 2.5mm jacks do work. Who chats anyway? We’re here to game.

Q: What is the difference between the Razer Onza and the Onza Tournament Edition?
A: In addition to all the features of the Razer Onza, the Tournament Edition features adjustable resistance on the analog sticks, backlighting and a non-slip rubberized surface texture. For more details please have a look at the comparison matrix.

Q: Can I use 3rd party headsets with my Razer Onza?
A: We can’t comment on compatibility with other 3rd party peripheral providers. The Razer Onza was designed to comply with the current generation MS headsets that come with current model Xbox 360 consoles. The controller has a standard 2.5mm jack. Products with side flap connectors will not fit.

Q: How many clicks are on the adjustable resistance analog sticks of the Razer Onza TE before they reach maximum?
A: We did not define a specific number of clicks for the maximum tension. There is a noticeable stop at the maximum, where you are not really able to twist the ring further. There should be a range of about 30 clicks from loose to tight.

Q: Do I need to loosen the tension of the Razer Onza analog sticks when I am not playing?
A: It is not necessary to loosen the tension when you are not using the Razer Onza. Just keep the tension at your preferred setting.

Q: When I push my Razer Onza TE’s analog stick to the outer edges, I am unable to push down and click.
A: This effect can sometimes be noticed when the analog stick is adjusted toward its maximum tension. To help alleviate this affect you can loosen the tension on your joystick. If you prefer the tighter tension, the Razer Onza gives you the ability to remap the analog stick’s click button to the MFB button on the front of the controller.

Q: I am unable to adjust the tension on my Razer Onza Tournament Edition.
A: Please be sure you are only turning the tension ring under the thumb portion of the joystick and not the entire joystick. (The tensions ring is the plastic ring with the ridges on it.) The tension ring should move slightly up and down the joystick as you rotate it. Turning the tension ring clockwise should move the tension ring down and increase the tension.
